Company description
High scientific and technical expertise in the fields of thermal-fluid and thermodynamics applied for automotive and refrigeration sectors (heat exchangers, powertrain cooling, air-conditioning and heat pump systems). Passion for R&D, innovation and creativity, being versatile and reactive with a constant concern of customer satisfaction are the main criteria that drive my work. Over my fourteen years in automotive industry, by following these criteria and targets, I strongly contributed to maintain the company competitiveness and to win important business. In addition, I like to share my knowledge and experiences. For that, I teach, at Luxembourg University, as contractual associate professor.

After 14 years as employee, I have accumulated a rich experience in the industry and I've built a strong network. I then decided to start my own business by founding Thermal Design Solutions. We are now three experienced engineers coming from automotive and refrigeration sectors.
The immediate activities are:

1. Development of simulation tools for various types of heat exchangers (HEX), single- and two-phase flow used in automotive, aeronautics and refrigeration (household and commercial).

2. Engineering services (product development, tubes and fins design improvements, performance simulation, durability assessment, test validation supervision, manufacturing process, drafting specifications) and R&D activities support dedicated to compact heat exchangers.

3. Support OEMs and TIER-1 suppliers in the development of the global thermal management for Battery Electrical Vehicles. The support consists in the requirements definition, system architecture definition, HVAC and front-end module development, heat pump systems development using R1234yf or R744 (CO2), the control system software development, and test validation supervision.

4. On-site training for engineers in HEX, Thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and experiments/testing.
